Have you ever searched in Google for something specific, only to be overwhelmed by the amount of results you get, and after going through 100's of pages, not finding anything your looking for?
Searching for something specific doesn't always yeild the results you might want, but I'm happy to say, there are a few things you can do to decrease the number of pages, as well as narrow down the results of a specific keyword.
I'm always searching the Internet for something, and most of the time use Google to help me, my results are normally quite good.
I want to share with you some of the tips I have learned to better my search results, hopefully, you will find them useful, and help you narrow down the many pages delivered by Google.
Ok, let's do a search for: Health and Beauty
The results will yield a approx 598.000.000 pages or more
Now let's do a more specific type of search, simply enclose the search phrase Health and Beauty in quotes like so "Health and Beauty"
Now, you won't get as many results as you did the first time, but the results will be more specific. In this case we had 15.000.000 pages.
If you want to streamline your search to include Skin Care, you might type "health and beauty" + "skincare" in the Google Search bar, this will give you about 150.000 pages of Health and beauty related to Skin Care, but maybe you want to search for a Beauty salon that offers skincare thereapy.
Now you could type "health and beauty" + "skincare" + "salon" in the Google search bar, the results will be about 35.000 pages of pages with Beauty salons that specialize in skin care.
Please note all these searches were done with pages from South Africa, you can change the geographical area by simply clicking on the area listed indicated under the heading "The web" on the left of the Google Search page.
